Boris and his lies

Never could a country have elected a more incompetent government like the United Kingdom. As he pushed out Theresa May, Boris Johnson won overwhelmingly with the majority of 80 seats. He was unstoppable. He will always win in parliament because even the opposition parties combined could not take him down. And any Conservative cabinet member that wanted to rebel would be told they will not be in their jobs if they vote against the government. That is how the hike in National Insurance was won in parliament.

Boris’s Brexit negotiator, who only a few years earlier had said that leaving the European Union would damage business and that it was a bad idea, was now kowtowing to Boris after securing peerage. Lord David Frost, who has absolutely no experience to negotiate a Brexit deal, was now a chief negotiator of that very matter. And what he negotiated was worse than anyone could have thought. Not only did he and Boris destroy the deal May had negotiated in 2019, which was by far a better deal that would continue with lasting peace in Northern Ireland, but what Lord Frost negotiated, he’s now criticising. He is slamming his deal which earlier he had praised. The left hand does not know what the right is doing in Boris’s government.

Everything Boris promised in the Brexit referendum he had lied about. The £350 million a week for the National Health Service (NHS) has yet to appear. In its place came the National Insurance hike, meaning that working classes will fork out more in their taxes that will prop up pensioners in care homes so that they do not have to sell their homes. That means that the poor working classes are helping the rich secure their inheritance. Those pensioners are majority Conservative supporters. So, Boris is securing his vote by taking from the poor and giving to the rich. When he won, he argued that his is People’s Government, now we know that the People in his view are the wealthy pensioners.

Not to mention that the National Insurance also goes into NHS, which shortly after the bill passed in parliament decided to employ 42 new executives on salaries of up to £270,000 each. More than the Prime Minister is paid. NHS is a bottomless pit where a manager has a manager to manage managers. If they employed fewer bureaucrats, they would have the money for NHS. Instead of blocking this, Boris supports it.

So now that the working classes are made poorer by a hike in National Insurance and salaries are not going up even though Boris is arguing they are, and we have yet to see the evidence of that, the prices have shot up too. The cost of food, gas and electricity has risen. So now, working-class families with kids, who are forced to pay a hike in National Insurance so that the rich get their inheritance, are going to have to choose if they feed their kids or keep them warm this winter.

Let’s not forget that there is a massive gas crisis in the country because the incompetent British government has no gas in storage and relies on imports, some of which comes from Russia. In my thesis on shale gas in 2013, I had argued if the U.K. fracks it could be self-sufficient and would not have to rely on rogue regimes to keep homes warm in the winter. But the government was too busy getting rich to bother with its people. But not only is gas in short supply, so is CO2, which is used in the farming industry to stun animals before slaughter and keep meat fresh in its packaging for longer. And last-minute, Boris’s government signed a deal with an American company to provide the CO2 at an enormous cost to the taxpayer. So next to National Insurance, we are going to be paying for the government’s incompetence too.

But Boris continues to argue that all this is due to the pandemic. Well, no, it is not, Boris. All this is due to your lies that somehow the U.K. will be a self-sufficient economic powerhouse when it leaves the E.U. It is also due to the equally incompetent former Prime Minister David Cameron, whose government did not research what it meant to leave the E.U. when he gave the referendum and resigned on the day the U.K. voted for Brexit. And it is due to that imbecile Nigel Farage who kept asking the voters, “do you want to live next to a Romanian?” Only to call Emma Raducanu, a Romanian-Chinese tennis star who plays for Britain, “a global star.” What a hypocritical prick! A day after the U.K. voted for Brexit, Farage applied for German citizenship for himself and his kids, as he was married to a German woman at the time. So, the E.U. was not good enough for Britain, but it is good enough for him and his kids to have an E.U. passport?

Most of the uneducated people, those on welfare and pensioners who voted for Brexit are regretting it. But it shows the level of intelligence in the country and utter hate towards immigrants. The Brexit vote was, after all, an anti-immigration vote. And what do they get for the anti-immigration sentiment is illegal Middle Eastern migrants coming on boats, Boris’s pledge to admit three million people from Hong Kong, an invitation for up to 20,000 Afghans to come over the period of five years. The people from Hong Kong are smart Chinese who will take British jobs, so that is one way Brits shot themselves in the foot. The illegal immigrants and the Afghans will take housing for which poor English have been on the list for years, waiting to move from temporary accommodations to a proper home. So, Brits lose jobs and homes. But what happens when there is a shortage of homes that the government did not take into consideration when it invited all those people to move to the U.K? Well, most of the Afghans who have already arrived are going to be living in a hotel indefinitely as there aren’t enough homes to move them too. That means they cannot open bank accounts as they have no permanent home and therefore cannot apply for jobs, so another thing the taxpayers will be forking out for.

And any trade deal with the U.S. that could have brought jobs is dead in the water. Why? Because Boris does not care about Northern Ireland, which the U.S. negotiated and worked on thoroughly to bring lasting peace to the country, not to mention that the current U.S. President Joe Biden is of Irish descent. On top of that, Congress must agree to the trade deal, and with a solid Irish lobby in the U.S., Boris can forget the trade deal. Even when previous U.S. President Donald Trump told Boris he could have a quick trade deal, Congress under the leadership of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told him it was not happening. Had it, by some miracle, happened, Boris would have sold NHS to Americans, and then all those pensioners who voted for Brexit would have been weeping for the good old days of the E.U. when their beloved NHS was accessible to all.

And let us not forget that Boris’s Environment Secretary George Eustice attacked Biden, saying that the President does not understand the Northern Ireland Protocol. That is the same Biden with Irish roots, who had studied the country, and whose America had been chief negotiater in the protocol, somehow, according to Eustice does not understand the protocol. Oh, please do enlighten us, Eustice. What do you know about the protocol? Because even birds on American trees have a better understanding of the protocol than you and your government, who have signed a Brexit deal that’s worthless and benefits the rich with a possibility to destabilise Northern Ireland. In other words, British Establishment cannot take it that their very own Boris has been proven to be a clown on the international stage. But God-forbid that someone tells the British Establishment NO, they get on their high horse shouting insults to make themselves feel better about their incompetence. The U.K. is an irrelevant country made even more so by Boris and his Brexit lies.

Never could a country have elected a more incompetent government like Boris’s. What a joke, criminally inept government he leads. One that resembles Monty Python more than a moral leadership. And during the pandemic has gone out of his way to make his friends richer and handed peerages like hot cookies so that when he is no longer in Downing Street, those friends will prop him up. To say that Britain is self-destructing is an understatement. It is a country that stabs its ally, France, in the back over the nuclear deal. But as former French Ambassador Gerard Araud said about the America-Australia-Britain nuclear sub deal, Britain “is like a fifth wheel in the garage”. It has lost all its international influence in the world. All it has now is Boris and his lies.
